Question 1

How much do custom cabinets cost compared to store-bought?

Accepted Answer

Custom wood cabinetry from our shop is usually far closer to store-bought pricing than people expect, and often competitive with mid to upper semi-custom lines. Because we build only what your room needs, you are not paying for filler panels or a layout that wastes space. After we see the project and talk through wood species, door style and finish, you get a clear price for the work — no guessing and no pressure.

Question 2

What kind of materials do you use?

Accepted Answer

Custom wood products only. We build with quality wood species and wood construction, finished to your choice of stain or paint. We do not promote plastic laminate or similar non-wood products, because our reputation is built on real woodworking that lasts and can be refinished years from now.

Question 3

How far will you travel for a project?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Mount Vernon, Illinois and regularly work within roughly a 150-mile radius — including the St. Louis, Effingham, Evansville and western Kentucky areas along with the surrounding southern Illinois communities. If you are not sure whether your project is in range, call and ask; we will tell you honestly.

Question 4

What does the process look like from first call to installation?

Accepted Answer

You call or send us your project details, and we discuss what you need. Nathan evaluates the space, takes measurements where needed, and talks through design, materials, style and budget. We develop a custom design and review it with you before production. Once you approve it, the cabinetry is built in our shop and installed as needed, with attention to quality, fit and workmanship from start to finish.
